The Bible in 180 Days
From the sermon Studying God's Word
Why read the Bible?
Because God loves us so much he's told us his story. The story of a perfect creation, the fall into sin, the plan of redemption, and the coming of the kingdom of God. But it's not just his story, it's our story too. Reading the Bible answers the major questions of our lives: where are, who are, what's wrong in the world, and what's the solution. It teaches us how to be saved and how to live in the world.
Why read the Bible? So we can nurture our connection with God, others and the world.
The Plan
This plan is designed for someone who wants to start right from the beginning, and get the whole story of the Bible in 180 days. Set 5 days a week as a goal. Reading each day of the work week. On the weekend you can catch up, or review the passages that were of special interest to you.

Encouragements
- Set a time. Morning, noon, or night- it doesn't matter. When you mess up, just get over it and get on with it.
- Get in a group. The Bible ultimately is lived out in community, so we study it with others. Join a Connections Group, or talk to us about starting your own.
- Finally, I make you this promise-when we get into God's word, we get close to God. And as we get closer to God his word does remarkable things in our life. You'll be amazed at the ways God will work in you, and with you, through the systematic and consistent study of the Bible.
